David Leslie Johnson (“Wrath of the Titans,” “Red Riding Hood”) has come onboard to work on the script for the James Wan-directed “Aquaman” movie at Warner Bros. Pictures.
Jason Momoa is attached to star as the underwater DC superhero which is a part of the DC Extended Universe films such as the upcoming “Wonder Woman” and “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” films.
Writers Will Beall and Kurt Johnstad were previously penning separate scripts. The extent of Johnson’s involvement is unclear, but he is said to be working with Wan to streamline the project.
“Aquaman” is currently targeting a 2018 release. Wan and Johnson just worked together on “The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist”.
