Apple has unveiled its new streaming service, Apple TV+, which is set to feature exclusive original shows, movies, and documentaries from some of the biggest names and creative minds in TV and film.
The SVOD service will feature a new slate of programming from the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Octavia Spencer, J.J. Abrams, Jason Momoa, M. Night Shyamalan, Jon M. Chu, and more.
The service is ad-free and on-demand and part of the revamped Apple TV app which will get a makeover this May ahead of the TV+ launch this Fall. Said app is also coming to Mac desktops and laptops, and in the Fall will come to Amazon’s Fire service, smarts TVs (including LG, Samsung, Sony and Vizio) and Roku devices. No pricing was announced.
The morning’s presentation seemingly offered more questions than answers and has so far been heavily criticised for being so light on specifics be it air dates, costs, etc.
