Apple has announced plans for a re-imagined version of the 1990s kids series “Ghostwriter,” a new take on the Sesame Workshop series with Luke Matheny (“The Dangerous Book for Boys”) writing and directing.
In the new series, a ghost haunts a neighborhood bookstore and starts releasing fictional characters into the real world, so four kids must team up to solve an exciting mystery surrounding the ghost’s unfinished business.
Armed with secret messages only they can see, the young heroes chase down the truth — and become friends in the process. Each episode story arc is grouped around literature, featuring classics and new works commissioned from popular authors like DJ Machale and Kwame Alexander.
J.J. Johnson, Andrew Orenstein and Christin Simms executive produce.
