With Bryan Singer’s “X-Men: Apocalypse” to be teased at Comic Con next weekend, Singer himself spoke with EW this weekend and says ‘Apocalypse’ is not only the end of the six main “X-Men” films, but also a ‘birth’ of sorts for the true X-Men:
“This is kind of a conclusion of six X-Men films, yet a potential rebirth of younger, newer characters. This is the true birth of the X-Men. This is how it happens.”
The magazine also includes new concept art of the villain Apocalypse’s tomb which will appear early in proceedings. According to the mag, the ancient mutant Egyptian seems to have been in suspended animation for some millennia. So, when intruders break into the vault, it seems like they wake him up and kick off the film’s events.
