Apocalypse Now Final Cut Imax Trailer

Lionsgate has issued a new final trailer for “Apocalypse Now: Final Cut,” the 4K restoration of Francis Ford Coppola’s famed and multi-award winning 1979 Vietnam War epic inspired by Joseph Conrad’s colonialist novel “Heart of Darkness”.

Restored from the original negative for the first time ever, the new take is said to be Coppola’s most realized version of his celebrated film – coming in somewhere between the original theatrical and ‘redux’ versions and the one he dubs his favorite version of the classic movie:

“It’s my favorite version because I feel the first one we released was clipped too short and REDUX is a little too long. This one is ‘just right.”

Lionsgate is releasing “Apocalypse Now; Final Cut” in theaters, including select IMAX cinemas, on August 15th and 18th, ahead of the film’s disc and Digital HD release in 4K on August 27th.
