AT&T Audience Network has picked up the hour-long diamond-themed drama series “Ice,” giving the project a ten-episode straight-to-series order with Antoine Fuqua set to executive produce for Entertainment One.
The serialized crime drama follows the Green family as it plunges into the underbelly of Downton Los Angeles’ diamond trade. The wildcard brother Freddy kills a prominent diamond dealer, meaning his half-brother Jake must bail him out and save the family business while maneuvering amongst jewelry thugs, blood diamond deals, false certificates and the Feds.
“Training Day” helmer Fuqua will also direct the premiere, while Robert Munic (“The Cleaner”) will pen the script and executive produce. Production kicks off in August for a launch later this year on the Audience Network
