Marvel Studios have just released a new poster, and is set to release a new trailer for “Ant-Man and The Wasp” tomorrow. In order to promote it though, they’ve delivered one of the best ‘teasers of a trailers’ they could have done.
Instead of just a few seconds of footage, they instead got the cast of “Avengers: Infinity War” to come together and ask an obvious question – where the hell was Scott and Hope during the whole Thanos saga? None of the main characters from the “Ant-Man” films were in ‘Infinity War’ which has led to the suggestion that they, like Hawkeye, will play a major role in the upcoming fourth film.
Another who was notably absent was Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie whose fate was not addressed in ‘Infinity War’ – meaning she was either killed in Thanos’ attack on the Asgardian refugee ship or she left before he arrived. A parody Twitter account is already up making fun of this with numerous amusing tweets.
“Ant-Man and The Wasp” is set in the aftermath of “Captain America: Civil War’ as Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a superhero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission.
Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Pena, Michael Douglas, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Abby Ryder Fortson, Tip ‘T.I.’ Harris, David Dastmalchian, Hannah John-Kamen, Walton Goggins and Randall Park star in the film which opens July 6th.
