Annapurna Television has acquired the screen rights to the non-fiction book “Accepted” which goes into the recent college admissions scandal that involved the likes of actresses Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman.
The scandal, called Operation Varsity Blues, came to light on March 12th and has resulted in at least fifty people being indicted. Wall Street Journal reporters Melissa Korn and Jen Levitz penned the book to be published at a later date, both having written extensively about college-related stories ranging from admissions to business models and campus sexual assault.
Emmy winner D.V. DeVincentis (“American Crime Story: The People Vs. OJ Simpson”) is set to write the one-hour limited series while Sue Naegle, Ali Krug, and Patrich Chu will produce.
