12-year-old “Annabelle Comes Home” leading actress Mckenna Grace has become one of the youngest producers in Hollywood.
Grace is attached to star in and will produce “Rabbit Cake,” a dark comedy adaptation of the acclaimed 2017 novel by Annie Hartnett which has been set up at Amazon Studios.
The story follows a unique young girl named Elvis Babbitt whose head is filled with facts. When her mother drowns while sleepwalking, the girl decides to investigate the strange circumstances, going on a journey to figure out her place in the world and finding comfort in the people and animals of her Alabama town.
Susan Johnson (“To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before”) will direct from a screenplay by Black List scribe Allie Hagan. Alix Madigan (“Winter’s Bone”) will also produce.
Grace also appears in the upcoming “Ghostbusters” reboot and previously appeared in “Captain Marvel” and Netflix’s “The Haunting of Hill House”.
