The creative team behind the iconic 1990s “X-Men” animated series are reportedly planning to approach Disney about reviving the series.
In a new report in THR, longtime X-Men artist Larry Houston says: “The one thing we’d like to do more than anything else is to continue where we left off”. If it were to return, it’s suggested they would likely keep the aesthetic of the original animated series.
The original “X-Men: The Animated Series” ran for five seasons and totalled 76 episodes from 1992 to 1997. The critically and commercially successful show was one of the first major cartoons to feature mature, seralized storytelling.
The report comes ahead of cast members reuniting for a panel at Los Angeles Comic Con on October 12th.
