Sony Pictures Animation has announced some changes to its release schedule with a few new dates and one notable delay.
First up, their proposed animated “Spider-Man” movie has been delayed by six months and will now open December 21st 2018. “The LEGO Movie” writer/directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller are behind the new film but will likely only produce due to their commitments to the young Han Solo film at Disney.
Next up, Sony have set two new dates. The previously announced “The Emoji Movie” is set to debut on August 11th 2017, while a new adaptation of “Peter Rabbit” will be released on March 23rd 2018.
