“The Walking Dead” creator Robert Kirkman adaptation of the iconic comic “Invincible” has been given a straight-to-series order by Amazon Studios.
Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg were to direct a planned film adaptation of the property, but now it will be an adult animated hourlong series.
The story centers on Mark Grayson, a normal teenager except for the fact that his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet. Shortly after his 17th birthday, Mark begins to develop powers of his own.
The comic launched in 2003 and wrapped last February after 144 issues.
