Sony Pictures has officially set a February start in Europe for “Angels & Demons,” the Ron Howard-directed sequel to “The Da Vinci Code” that will be released next December reports Variety.
Producers Brian Grazer and John Calley, Howard and writer Akiva Goldsman are seeking to finalize the shooting script before next week’s writer’s strike deadline, whilst additional casting has begun.

Howard wrapped shooting his screen adaptation of the Peter Morgan play “Frost/Nixon” last week and will do editing and post-production on that whilst shooting “Angels and Demons”. It’s also expected to open late 2008.
