Angela Lansbury is 90 years old and can still knock ’em dead.
The legendary actress returned to Alice Tully Hall on Sunday evening for the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s exclusive screening celebrating the 25th anniversary home video edition of Disney’s animated classic “Beauty and the Beast”.
Along with a showing of the film, Lansbury appeared on stage to give a surprise performance of the title song accompanied by the film’s composer Alan Menken. This all unfolded in the venue where the film had its ‘work in progress’ premiere back in 1991. Check out the video below of Lansbury’s appearance and performance.
The 25th anniversary edition of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” hits Blu-ray and DVD tomorrow, while the live-action remake of the story has been directed by Bill Condon and will open in cinemas in March.
