“Sherlock” and “Spectre” cast member Andrew Scott is set to join Rachel Weisz, Tom Wilkinson and Timothy Spall in the cast of Mick Jackson’s “Denial” at Bleecker Street. Filming began in London this week.
David Hare (“The Reader,” “The Hours”) adapted Deborah E. Lipstadt’s book “History on Trial” which recounts her legal battle for historical truth against David Irving, a man who accused her of libel when she declared him a Holocaust Denier.
With the burden of proof on the accused, she and her legal team to prove that the Holocaust happened. Scott will play lawyer Antony Julius while Caren Pistorius, Jack Lowden, Alex Jennings and Harriet Walter also star. Gary Foster and Russ Krasnoff will produce.
