Under three weeks before its scheduled launch, Dimension Films’ supernatural horror thriller “Amityville: The Awakening” has been delayed again – this time a further six months.
The project has been plucked from a January 6th opening to a wide release on June 30th, right in the heart of Summer. Despite the delay, which would see the film opening a full two-and-a-half years after it was originally slated to hit cinemas, this is being seen as a show of support with the film now nabbing a prime piece of release schedule real estate.
Bella Thorne, Cameron Monaghan, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Thomas Mann, Jennifer Morrison and Kurtwood Smith star in the Franck Khalfoun-helmed film which was shot in mid-2014 and was first slated for release in January 2015. It has since undergone numerous delays and reshoots.
