The first trailer for “American Made” has been rated and will reportedly be arriving within the next week.
The project, originally titled “Mena,” sees the reunion of “Edge of Tomorrow” director Doug Liman and star Tom Cruise in a true story tale about a TWA pilot roped into helping the CIA battle the emerging communist threat in Central American in the 1980s.
He ends up deep within the infamous Medellin cartel that was co-founded by Pablo Escobar. Gary Spinelli (“Stash House”) penned the film, a rare non-franchise title for Cruise, which Universal is planning to release this Fall.
