Amc A List Service Raises Its Prices

AMC Cinemas’ Stubs A-List program, the cinema chain’s monthly subscription service allowing customers to see three movies a week (in regular and premium formats) for $20 a month, will raise its monthly rate in the 16 U.S. states where the app is most popular.

In California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York, the price will rise from $19.95 to $23.95 a month starting January 9th. It will also increase to $21.95 for subscribers in Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington state and D.C.

Pricing will remain at $19.95 in the other 35 states. The price for those who previously enrolled in A-List will stay without changing for 12 months after signing up.

The price rise comes as the company announced that more than 500,000 people have signed up for its four-month-old subscription service – way above what the chain had originally forecast with the company hoping to reach that marker by June next year.
