As part of its Television Critics Association Press Tour, AMC has announced premiere dates for several of its major new seasons and series.
“Fear the Walking Dead” will kick off its second season of fifteen episodes in two parts, beginning with the first of seven episodes on Sunday, April 10th. The remaining eight episodes will air later in 2016 and all episodes will be immediately followed by the talk show “Talking Dead”.
The limited event series “The Night Manager” – an adaptation of the John Le Carre espionage drama novel starring Tom Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie and Olivia Colman – will kick off its six episode run from Tuesday April 19th at 10pm.
Next up, “TURN: Washington’s Spies” will premiere its ten-episode third season on Monday, April 25th at 10pm.
The network has also announced two new series. “Feed the Beast” will begin production in New York City in February and follows two best friends who take one last shot at their dream of opening a restaurant. The ten episode series will premiere in May.
They’re also going straight to series on “The Son,”a film adaptation of Philipp Meyer’s novel which s a multi-generational drama about America’s birth as a superpower told through the rise and fall of one Texas oil empire. No word on a premiere date as yet.
