AMC has cancelled the David Schwimmer-led drama “Feed The Beast” after just one season. The decision comes a month after the series, based on a Danish format, ended its ten-episode run.
Schwimmer and Jim Sturgess starred as two best friends who take one last shot at their dream of opening a restaurant. As they struggled to launch their eatery and pushed each other to overcome their demons, they also betrayed, backstabbed, manipulated and coerced each other into dangerous situations.
The series opened to poor reviews and ratings, the finale drawing just 406,000 viewers and a 0.11 demo rating in L+SD. Ordered straight-to-series, this is a rare example of an AMC original drama not to go to a second season, joining a club where both “Rubicon” and “Low Winter Sun” also reside.
