Amazon’s “Jack Ryan” Series Gets A Greenlight

Amazon has officially given a ten-episode straight-to-series order for a small screen adaptation of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan novels. Platinum Dunes, Skydance Media and Paramount TV will produce.

A modern reinvention of the property, John Krasinski plays an up-and-coming CIA analyst who uncovers a pattern in terrorist communication that launches him into the center of a dangerous gambit with a new breed of terrorism that threatens destruction on a global scale.

Carlton Cuse and Graham Roland are producing the project which Amazon first considered back in April. Several episode scripts were recently received and, with their approval, the series order was granted.

Mace Neufeld, Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, Andrew Form, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Lindsey Springer and Marcy Ross will also all serve as executive producers. The project will be shot across the US, Europe and Africa.
