Amazon has announced that it has renewed its John Krasinski-led action series “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” for a third season.
The announcement was made during the studio’s presentation at the final day of the Television Critics Association yesterday, and comes ahead of the second season premiere later this year.
Paramount Television and Skydance Television produce this contemporary-set reinvention of the Clancy novels and their CIA analyst character. The second season sees Ryan confronting the forces in power in a dangerous, declining democratic regime in South America.
Carlton Cuse and Graham Roland will continue to serve as co-showrunners on the eight-episode second season run.
