Amazon has renewed their dystopian alternate history drama series “The Man in the High Castle” for a fourth season. It’s a surprising announcement considering the second season aired back in December 2016 and the third season has yet to score a premiere date at this point beyond a generic 2018 one.
Based on Philip K. Dick’s Hugo Award-winning 1962 alternate history novel, the story explores the idea of what would happen if the Allied Powers had lost World War II with Germany controlling much of the East Coast and Japan controlling the West.
After a series of enigmatic films surface depicting a world vastly different from their own, some begin to question the very nature of their reality. Filming on the new season begins in mid-September and carry through to February next year.
