Spanish director Pedro Almodovar (“Volver,” “The Bad Education”) has opted to shoot the film noir “Broken Hugs” starring Penelope Cruz as his next project says The Hollywood Reporter.
The Oscar-winning director claims the script for the film is his longest ever, and tells of a “crazy love.” He says it won’t be a comedy, but humor will be present. He also adds that of his star “I’m going to delve into one of her little-known facets.”
Blanca Portillo and Lluis Homar also star and the crew will start preparation for the film in January. Previously, Almodovar had said his next film would be “El Piel Que Habito.”
