Alfonso Arau Goes To “Chicago”

Alfonso Arau (“A Walk in the Clouds,” “Picking Up the Pieces”) is set to direct the prohibition drama “Little Chicago” for Everest Motion Pictures says Variety.

Journalist Carl Veno penned the story which focuses on mob factions battling for control of the bootlegging business in Olean, a town of 5,000 that saw 71 murders within two years.

Shooting kicks off this spring in Niagara Falls and Pennsylvania. Steve J. Scarduzio, Gene Kirkwood and Luca Palanca are producing.
