Alan Tudyk (“Firefly,” “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”) has officially signed on to play DC supervillain Mr. Nobody in the upcoming live-action “Doom Patrol” series for the streaming service DC Universe.
The story deals with a group of outcasts – Robotman (Brendan Fraser & Jake Michaels), Negative Man (Dwain Murphy), Elasti-Woman (April Bowlby) and Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero) – as they’re hired by Cyborg (Joivan Wade) on a mission that will take them to the weirdest and most unexpected corners of the DC universe.
Mr. Nobody will serve as the show’s primary antagonist in the first season. In the comics he was Eric Morden, a man who was experimented on and driven insane, gaining the ability to drain other people of their sanity in the process.
Several of the characters will first appear in an episode of “Titans” later this year ahead of their own series in 2019. Bruno Bichir also stars in the series which has received a direct-to-series order of thirteen episodes which will be written by “Supernatural” producer Jeremy Carver and executive produced by him, Greg Berlanti, Geoff Johns and Sarah Schechter.
