AFI Sets Top 10 Film & TV List For 2017

The American Film Institute has announced its annual end of year list, citing the ten best (in alphabetical order) movies and TV series of 2017. A mix of industry professionals and select press members, most of the group’s ten films also become Best Picture contenders.

This year’s films selections are: “The Big Sick,” “Call Me By Your Name,” “Dunkirk,” “The Florida Project,” “Get Out,” “Lady Bird,” “The Post,” “The Shape of Water,” “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,” and “Wonder Woman”.

This year’s TV selections are: “Big Little Lies,” “The Crown,” “Feud: Bette and Joan,” “Game of Thrones,” “The Good Place,” “The Handmaid’s Tale,” “Insecure,” “Master of None,” “Stranger Things 2,” and “This Is Us”.

An AFI Special Award was also handed out to “The Vietnam War”.
