Warner Bros. Pictures has reportedly given the green light to Ben Affleck’s next directorial effort “Live By Night” with filming to begin this November.
Based on “Gone Baby Gone” author Dennis Lehane’s Prohibition-era crime novel, the story follows the son of a prominent Boston police captain who turned his back on his family to enjoy the spoils of being an outlaw
Affleck has intended to direct for some time but his acting commitments to “Gone Girl,” “The Accountant” and “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” have kept him away. Though he has several films in development, none are ready for production and so he’s spending the next four months tweaking the script ahead of filming.
Elle Fanning, Sienna Miller and Zoe Saldana are still attached to star in the film which Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Todd and Jennifer Davisson Killoran will produce.
