Earlier this week a video interview segment went up with Ben Affleck doing press for next week’s “The Accountant”. The actor was speaking about his upcoming solo Batman film and suggested that the working title was “The Batman,” something that had long been rumored.
Now, Affleck has backtracked a bit on that. Taking part in a Facebook Live video (via E! Online), Affleck once again addressed the project’s progress and seems to say that despite his comments, a final title hasn’t been settled upon:
“I mentioned the other day… it’s been around for a long time, but the movie… there is no Batman movie happening yet, we’re still trying to figure it out, you know, get the script and budget and all that stuff. And someone said, ‘what are you calling it?’ and I had said, like, back when we were promoting another movie, I was like ‘we don’t have a name for it, we’re just going with The Batman or Batman movie’, and I said that, and everyone was like ‘Affleck announces the name of his Batman movie.'”
Affleck also appeared on Live with Regis and Kelly today and confirmed that he has a couple of days of filming in Iceland on Zack Snyder’s “Justice League” film still to go following the wrapping of four months of shooting in London. The first set photos from the Iceland shoot are out and can be seen below:
