Adrien Brody Joins “Emperor,” “Nocturne”

Adrien Brody is set to play Holy Roman Emperor Charles V in Lee Tamahori’s revenge tale “Emperor” at Corsan. Filming begins in August in the Czech Republic and Belgium.

Jeffrey Hatcher penned the story, set in 16th century Europe, which follows how Charles’ personal demons took his empire to the brink.

Speaking of Brody, the actor has also gusted launched production company Fable House Ltd, and will star in its first project “Manhattan Nocturne” which has been described as Sidney Lumet-esque.

Brian DeCubellis helms the adaptation of the Colin Harrison novel that also stars Yvonne Strahovski and Campbell Scott. Brody will play a journalist asked by a seductive young woman to investigate the unsolved murder of her husband.
