Addison Timlin (“Californication,” “Derailed”) is in negotiations while Tim Robbins is said to be circling a role in Stephen Sommers’ film adaptation of Dean Koontz’s supernatural thriller “Odd Thomas” reports Variety and Bloody Disgusting.
The story follows Odd Thomas (Anton Yelchin), an optimistic twenty-year-old short-order cook who can see both dead people and the shadowy figures called ‘bodachs’ that appear around death and disaster. When bodachs seem to be swarming around a diner customer he nicknames ‘Fungus Man’, Odd is convinced the man is connected to a terrible catastrophe about to occur.
Timlin will play the female lead Stormy Llewellyn, Odd’s girlfriend. Lily Collins had previously been keen on the part but her commitment to Tarsem’s Snow White project at Relativity has put her out of the running.
Shooting aims to kick off May 2nd in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
