Adam McKay In Talks For Marvel’s “Ant-Man”

Director Adam McKay has reportedly beaten out Ruben Fleischer and Rawson Marshall Thurber and has entered talks to replace Edgar Wright at the helm of “Ant-Man” at Marvel Studios says AICN.

McKay and the other three were first revealed as candidates this morning, with the offer to McKay reportedly made this afternoon.

A deal is expected to be worked out quickly as Marvel intends to keep its July 17th 2015 release date so filming will have to begin ASAP.

McKay’s working relationship with “Ant-Man” star Paul Rudd, the pair having worked on the two “Anchorman” films together, reportedly played a significant role in his hiring.
