Acitvision has officially announced “Call of Duty: WWII,” the next game in the “Call of Duty” franchise. The announcement comes ahead of the full reveal trailer which will debut Wednesday, April 26th.
Acitivision previously teased that the next game in the series would return to ‘traditional combat’ following in the wake of several entries which have pushed the series more towards science-fiction flavoring. The most recent entry, “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare,” sold less than half of the previous entry “Call of Duty: Black Ops III”.
Sledgehammer Games previously worked on “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare” and “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3,” the latter remaining the highest selling entry in the franchise.
