Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions have acquired Robert Redford’s civil war-era courtroom drama “The Conspirator”.

The story follows a young union war hero (James McAvoy) who must defend a mother (Robin Wright) accused of aiding her son in the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln.

Kevin Kline, Evan Rachel Wood, and Tom Wilkinson also star.

Sony Pictures Worldwide has scored the rights to James Wan’s haunted house feature “Insidious”

Anchor Bay has picked up the rights to Shawn Ku’s drama “Beautiful Boy”.

The story follows a married couple (Michael Sheen, Maria Bello) on the verge of separating who learn their 18-year-old son committed a mass shooting at his college then took his own life.

Moon Bloodgood, Alan Tudyk, and Meat Loaf Aday also star.

Magnet Releasing has acquired the North American rights to the Korean horror film “Chawz”.

Jeong-won Shin directs the film about a giant, vicious pig who terrorizes an idyllic countryside.
