Filming on Clint Eastwood’s musical remake of “A Star Is Born”, which could’ve begun as early as February 2012, looks like it’ll now be pushed back according to Deadline.
Attached star Beyonce Knowles announced her pregnancy on Sunday at MTV’s Video Music Awards, almost immediately after came word of the delay. The move won’t be a major issue as Warner Bros. Pictures will now have more to lock down a leading man as Eastwood’s first choice, Leonardo DiCaprio, opted out. Both Will Smith and Christian Bale have previously been mentioned as potential candidates.
Clint is producing through Malpaso as well as directing from a script by Will Fetters. Billy Gerber, Basil Iwanyk and Jon Peters are also producing.
