The first photos are out from “Kindergarten Cop 2,” the forthcoming sequel to the now 25-year-old Arnold Schwarzenegger family action-comedy.
Universal’s 1440 Entertainment, which specializes in direct-to-video sequels and reboots like “The Scorpion King 4,” “Jarhead 3,” “Hard Target 2” and the disturbingly named “Beethoven’s Treasure Tail,” are behind this follow-up which sees Dolph Lundgren taking on the part of a tough-guy law enforcement officer.
Lundgren’s Agent Reed goes undercover as a kindergarten teacher to retrieve a flash drive with sensitive information stolen from the Witness Protection Program. Unlike Arnie, Lundgren’s character must also face off with the school’s “politically correct environment”.
Don Michael Paul (“Jarhead 2: Field of Fire”) helms from a script by David H. Steinberg (“American Pie 2”).
