A “Daddy’s Home” Sequel Gets Greenlit

Paramount Pictures and Gary Sanchez Productions have setup a sequel to the crowd-pleasing comedy “Daddy’s Home”.

Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg have signed on to reprise their mismatched buddy characters, while original scribes Sean Anders and John Morris are also returning to write the script and Anders to direct.

The storyline of the follow-up is being kept under wraps, and no word as yet if other supporting actors such as Hannibal Buress, Linda Cardellini and Thomas Haden Church will also return.

The first film opened last Christmas and racked up a $240 million worldwide gross.
