A new near five-minute featurette for Rian Johnson’s “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” is out, the clip exploring the location shooting for the film.
One key locale is Dubrovnik in Croatia, the home of King’s Landing in HBO’s “Game of Thrones,” which serves as the basis here for the casino planet of Canto Bight. Another is Salar De Uyuni in Bolivia with the iconic salt flats serving as the surface of the planet Crait.
The clip comes as Johnson has revealed to Rolling Stone that they had to do some tricks to make sure Carrie Fisher’s dialogue sounded right in the film due to her passing before finishing all her ADR work.
“We had to do a lot of sound work and that was kind of tough, but we managed. We have a great sound team and we managed to pull her dialogue out and find little snippets from here and there and make it work. You do what you’ve gotta do.”
Also out today is a new TV spot for the film, and the trailer for the ‘Last Jedi’ DLC pack for “Star Wars: Battlefront II” which will give players the chance to participate in the battle of Crait.
