A few weeks on from the Star Wars Celebration convention, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” actress Daisy Ridley conducted a press conference in Japan which was televised – but with Japanese dubbing.
Today, Star Wars 7 News was able to get translations of what was said at those conferences where two brief bits of information about the franchise were revealed.
First up, Ridley’s character Rey will be using the bojutsu fighting style (a type of bo-staff fighting) which Ridley has been training for with the help of the sword fight choreographer from HBO’s “Game of Thrones”.
The more important quote came later on though when Kennedy was asked about bringing some of the original trilogy characters and races back – specifically the bounty hunter Boba Fett and the furry Ewoks. She responded:
“Don’t worry: Boba Fett is a high priority among our list, please wait. But seeing how the Ewoks could return is a little harder to imagine. It is quite difficult to give the many stars of Star Wars their own stories on film.”
At last report the second of the “Star Wars: Anthology” films in the works is expected to include a major focus on Boba Fett – it could possibly even be an origin film.
