72 Prods Gets “Venomous” With “Deadlocke”

72 Productions has picked up the film rights to Christopher Krovatin’s 2008 young adult novel “Venomous” says Variety.

Renamed “Deadlocke,” the story follows a Manhattan teenager whose world is turned upside down when the dark alter ego who exists in his drawings threatens to take over his life.

Krovatin, who also wrote the book series “Heavy Metal and You”, will pen the script for the feature while Arvid Nelson (“Rex Mundi”) and artist Nick Stakal (“Criminal Macabre”) will handle the graphic novel adaptation.
