Starz has announced that it has begun development of a superhero-themed series entitled “Tomorrow, Today” which is based on a screenplay by Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson who will also executive produce alongside Anthony Cipriano (“Bates Motel”) and Dan Kay (I.T.”).
The story follows a veteran from the south side of Chicago who, after being falsely imprisoned, becomes the personal experiment of a mad prison doctor. Set free, but on the run, the veteran must reconcile with the world that has turned against him, and use his newfound abilities for good.
Jackson is behind the series “Power” which has been a hit for the network and was recently renewed for two more seasons. This new project falls under an extended deal with the rapper that will run for at least another two years.
Cipriano, Kay and Kirkland Morris will also write for the series.
