4k Users Pick The Best Films For Format

Ahead of the UHD Alliance and Digital Entertainment Group’s 4K Ultra HD Summit taking place this week in Los Angeles, FandangoNOW recently surveyed over 1,500 film fans with 4K Ultra HD-compatible TVs to get their thoughts on what are the films they think are best suited to the ultra high-res format.

Both superhero films and filmmaker Chris Nolan topped the list in terms of most mentions, with six comic book films making the top ten and five of Nolan’s films in the list which consists of a full forty-four films. Nolan himself will receive the DEG Vanguard Award at the summit. The Top 44 Movies in 4K are:

In addition, over 60% of respondents indicated that they are more likely to watch a movie at home if it is available in 4K Ultra HD. As of June this year, over 31% of households sport a 4K TV, up from 3% just two years ago.
