Tony winner Cherry Jones (“Signs,” “The Perfect Storm,” “Ocean’s Twelve”) will play the first female US president on “24” in the upcoming season reports Reuters. The news marks the first major casting addition to the show’s upcoming seventh season.
Dana Davis (TV’s “The Nine”) has joined NBC’s hit sci-fi drama “Heroes” as a new young hero in a regular role. Her powers are being kept under wraps. Davis and Dania Ramirez remain the sole two new regulars to the show next year. Nick D’Agosto, Barry Shabaka Henley, Holt McCallany, David Anders, Eriko Tamura, Lyndsy Fonseca and Dianna Agron will all play new recurring characters.
Finally, Olivia Wilde, Kal Penn, Peter Jacobson and Anne Dudek have landed recurring roles on Fox’s hit medical drama “House.” The four are expected to play characters who will be brought in after the resignations of House’s (Hugh Laurie) underlings Foreman (Omar Epps) and Cameron (Jennifer Morrison) and the firing of Chase (Jesse Spencer).
