STXFilms and AGBO have delayed the Chadwick Boseman-led and Anthony and Joe Russo produced police thriller “21 Bridges” from September 27th to November 22nd – the weekend before Thanksgiving.
Brian Kirk (“Game of Thrones,” “Luther”) helms the film which follows a disgraced NYPD detective given a shot at redemption. A citywide manhunt is underway for a cop killer, and Manhattan is completely locked down for the first time in its history – no exit or entry to the island including all 21 bridges.
Boseman’s character begins to uncover a massive conspiracy that links his fellow cops to a criminal empire and must decide who he is hunting and who is actually hunting him. Adam Mervis penned the film which also stars J.K. Simmons, Sienna Miller, Taylor Kitsch, Keith David, Stephan James and Morocco Omari.
The film is now going up against the Tom Hanks-led “A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood,” the Blake Lively-led “The Rhythm Section,” and the Disney juggernaut “Frozen 2”.
