2016 MTV Movie Award Nominees

It is “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” that dominated the list of the 2016 MTV Movie Award nominees released this morning, announced via Snapchat Discover. The J.J. Abrams-directed film led the field with eleven nominations followed by “Deadpool” with eight and “Avenger: Age of Ultron” with six.

All three will compete for the Best Movie award alongside “Creed,” “Jurassic World” and “Straight Outta Compton”. Two new categories were added this year – true story and documentary. Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, both of whom are nominated, will host the ceremony on April 10th.
