Set in contemporary London, "Cassandra's Dream" is a powerful and thrilling story about two brothers (Ewan McGregor, Colin Farrell) who are desperate to better their troubled lives. One is a chronic gambler in debt over his head, and the other is a young man in love with a beautiful actress (newcomer Hayley Atwell) he has recently met. Their lives gradually become entangled into a sinister situation with intense and unfortunate results.

- The film was premiered in secret at Avilés in Spain on June 18, 2007. It was officially premiered at the Venice Film Festival on September 2, 2007 and was already in theaters in Spain by November 3rd, 2007.

- This is Allen's third film to be shot in London. It is the first of the three not to star Scarlett Johansson.
- This is the first Woody Allen film released with a stereo soundtrack. Allen previously eschewed stereo although often employing Dolby Stereo and Dolby Digital technologies to convey a higher quality mono soundtrack. "Cassandra's Dream" is stereo for its music only.
