2007 Emmy Award Winners

The 59th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards took place on Sunday night with the final season of “The Sopranos,” the western mini-series “Broken Trail” and the final “Prime Suspect” mini-series taking the most awards with three each.

The rest were split pretty evenly with some very welcome surprises like Tina Fey freshman laugher “30 Rock” taking the best comedy series and “Boston Legal” star James Spader beating out James Gandolfini for the Best Actor gong.

Ryan Seacrest barely hosted the ceremony, but the production was saved from being a total loss by scant moments of levity by comedians Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Lewis Black, Steve Carrell and Ellen DeGeneres.
