Rollerball (February 8th) - Remake of the 1975 film. In a futuristic society where corporations have replaced countries, the violent game of Rollerball is used to control the populace. However, one player soon rises to the top and threatens the corporate control.
Crossroads (February 15th) - Three women who grew up as best friends are now leading separate lives - one's a cheerleader, one's a college educated geek, and one is burned out on drugs. They team up or a road trip to Los Angeles to compete in a music contest.
Hart's War (February 15th) - Based on the John Katzenbach novel. In a German concentration camp, two American Tuskegee airman are accused of murder and one of the prisoners who studied law at Harvard must defend him in a trial put on by his inmates.
Dragon Fly (February 22nd) - Directed by Tom Shadyac ("Liar Liar"). A doctor who works with terminally ill patients believes his dead wife is trying to contact him - trough the near-death experiences of various patients submitted to him.
The Queen of the Damned (February 22nd) - Sequel to "Interview with the Vampire" and based on the Anne Rice novel. Lestat has become a world famous rock star but the attention draws the wrong type of crowd - Akasha, the very the first vampire.
40 Day & 40 Nights (March 1st) - A young man breaks up with his girlfriend and then tests himself by swearing off sexual contact of any kind (incl. self pleasure) for 40 days and 40 nights, while his ex schemes to seduce him back into her life, breaking his vow.
We Were Soldiers (March 1st) - In a place soon to be known as The Valley of Death, 400 members of an elite American combat division were surrounded by 2,000 North Vietnamese soldiers. The ensuing battle was one of the most savage in U.S. history.
The Time Machine (March 8th) - Based on HG Wells' classic novel. A professor at Columbia University in 1895 creates a time machine and journies to the year 802,701 - when mankind has evolved into the beautiful Eloi and the monster-like Morlocks.
Ice Age (March 15th) - CG animated tale set during the Ice Age. A group of animals including a wooly mammoth, a sabre tooth tiger, and a giant sloth travel cross country along giant glaciers and mountain ranges to reunite a human baby with its parents.
Resident Evil (March 15th) - Based on the popular computer game. A military unit fights against a powerful super computer that is out of control and the hundreds of scientists who have mutated into flesh-eating undead due to a laboratory accident.
Showtime (March 15th) - A spoof of buddy cop movies. In an effort to boost the image of the police department, a straight laced police detective and an outrageously wild rookie are forced to be partners for a a new reality-based "Cops"-esque TV show.
Blade II (March 22nd) - Directed by Guillermo Del Toro. Blade must do the unthinkable, forge an alliance with vampires in order to take on the Reapers - mutant creatures who feed on vampires and will eradicate them if not stopped.
ET: The Extra Terrestrial: Spec. Ed. (March 22nd) - A special digitally restored and extended version of the Spielberg classic about a young by who comes across a benign brown alien visitor lost on Earth, and hurries to protect him from the authorities closing in.
Death to Smoochy (March 29th) - 'Smoochy' is the name of a Barney-esque blue rhino character, and the guy inside the suit finds himself the target of assassination by a disgruntled former kids show star determined to take revenge by eliminating his successor.
Panic Room (March 29th) - Directed by David Fincher. A divorced single mother and her young daughter become trapped in their large New York house in a battle of wits with three burglars who are seeking a hidden money cache somewhere in the house.
High Crimes (April 5th) - Based on the Joseph Finder novel. A female attorney's husband is court martialed for deserting and charged with participating in a massacre in El Salvador. Only he and a military lawyer can help him and uncover the conspiracy setting him up.
Changing Lanes (April 12th) - The story of what happens one day in New York when a young lawyer (Affleck) and a businessman (Jackson) share a small automobile accident on F.D.R. Drive that their mutual road rage escalates into a feud and quickly turns vengeful.
Enigma (April 19th) - In 1943, the man who broke the German Enigma coding system is brought back in to help break the Nazi's newest coding techniques, but faces the threat one of his workmates within the British code breaking ranks is a traitor.
Murder by Numbers (April 19th) - Directed by Barbet Schroeder. Psychological thriller about a tenacious homicide detective and her new partner uncover a trail of shrewdly concealed evidence that links two brilliant young men to a murder.
The Scorpion King (April 19th) - Prequel to the recent two 'The Mummy' films. This tells more on the life story of 'The Scorpion King', a peasant who sought revenge on the army who destroyed his village and rises to become a powerful warlord who ruled over Egypt.
Jason X (April 26th) - Tenth film in the "Friday the 13th" series. In the distant future, a starship crew return to the desolate Earth and discover Jason and a technician cryogenically frozen. Brought onboard, he's accidentally thawed and all hell breaks loose.
Life or Something Like It (April 26th) - A reporter interviews a homeless man about football scores in order to fill time. Instead, he warns her that life will end in a few days and has no meaning - and so she sets about trying to change her way of living and enjoy every moment.
Spider-Man (May 3rd) - Based on the famous comic. After being bitten by a genetically enhanced spider, student Peter Parker begins to develop strange powers and must use those to take on 'The Green Goblin' - a scientist caught in an accident gone wrong.
Unfaithful (May 10th) - When a husband discovers that his wife has been having an affair, he goes on a rampage, brutally murdering her lover. She sees a passion in him in his rage that she didn't see in their many years of matrimony.
Star Wars, Episode II: Attack of the Clones (May 16th) - Anakin is now a young man who finds himself in conflict with mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi as Darth Sidious begins manipulating control of the Republic and attempts to kill the only impediment left - the Jedi.
About A Boy (May 17th) - A 36-year-old playboy Londoner seeks out relationships with single mothers because he thinks they're more desperate to find a man. Of course, all his plans go out the window when he becomes emotionally attached to a woman's 12-year-old son.
Enough (May 24th) - Soon after marrying the man of her dreams, a woman discovers her husband to be an abusive monster and tries to escape his clutches. With him in hot pursuit and avenues for help drying up she comes to only one possible solution - he must die.
Insomnia (May 24th) - Directed by Chris Nolan, and is an English language remake of the 1997 Norwegian film. A police detective accidentally shoots his own partner whilst trying to apprehend a suspect of a young girl's murder, but finds an alibi from an unexpected place.
Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (May 24th) - A traditionally animatedtale from Dreamworks. This follows an untamed horse in the Wild West who is captured and trained to become mount in the US army cavalry - the tale told entirely from the horses' perspective.
The Sum Of All Fears (May 31st) - Based on the novel by Tom Clancy. CIA analyst Jack Ryan uncovers and hurries to stop a group of anti-Government terrorists planning to re-ignite the Cold War with Russia by sneaking a nuclear bomb and detonating it at the Superbowl.
Undercover Brother (May 31st) - Anton is an average African-American man with a whole other side - he's secret agent in the all-black B.R.O.T.H.E.R.H.O.O.D. who fights in the neverending battle against the all-white establishment known nefariously as The Man.
Bad Company (June 7th) - A veteran CIA agent who must transform sarcastic, street-wise punk into a sophisticated and savvy spy to replace his murdered identical twin brother. He only has nine days before having to negotiate a nuclear weapons deal with terrorists.
Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood (June 7th) - A young woman grows tired of her eccentric mother and moves away to concentrate on her play writing. Years later, she receives a box in the mail with mementos of her mother's adventures in her youth.
Scooby-Doo (June 14th) - Now yesteryear celebrities, the Scooby gang (Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy and Scooby) is called back into action by the owner of an elaborate island haunted house theme park which claims to be experiencing a real life haunting.
The Bourne Identity (June 14th) - Based on the novel by Robert Ludlum. A wounded, bullet-ridden man washes up on a shore with no memory of his past life. As he begins a search to find out who he was, various individuals are on his trail determined to kill him.
Windtalkers (June 14th) - Directed by John Woo. During WW2, the Allies used the nearly extinct language of Navajo to communicate and one soldier is assigned to guard one of these codetalkers with his life, but to also kill him if he is captured.
Lilo & Stitch (June 21st) - Disney animated tale about a Hawaiian girl who adopts a dog that turns out to be an evil alien prisoner escapee whose ship crashed on Earth where he's posing as a dog in order to escape detection from the alien police after him.
Minority Report (June 21st) - Directed by Steven Spielberg & based on the Philip K. Dick short story. In the future technology is able to detect crimes before they actually occur. Now, a cop is framed for a murder that has yet to happen and goes on the run to find the truth.
Mr. Deeds (June 28th) - When a small town yokel inherits controlling interest in a media corporation, he starts injecting his small town values into its various sections. As the changes take place an undercover reporter tries to find out the real deal about this odd man.
Men in Black II (July 3rd) - Sequel to the 1997 sci-fi comedy hit. Plot details are sketchy right now though what is known is that Jay is forced to bring Kay back into active service to stop a dangerous threat - this time in the guise of an alien princess.
Halloween: Resurrection (July 12th) - After Laurie Strode is found slaughtered, a group of teens decide to do a webcast from the Myers' household in case the killer is truly alive and has come back. Soon they begin disappearing one-by-one.
Reign of Fire (July 12th) - A horde of fire-breathing dragons have emerged from centuries rest and destroyed the civilised world. Now, an American militia leader and a British fire marshal team up to devise a way to stop the creatures and hunt down the 'Queen'.
Road to Perdition (July 12th) - Directed by Sam Mendes. Chicago 1930, in the time of Al Capone a mob assassin known as 'The Angel of Death' goes on the run with his son after the rest of his family is killed and attempts to seek revenge on the men responsible.
The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course (July 12th) - The Croc Hunter becomes caught up in the middle of a top secret CIA hunt for a missing satellite, though for the most part he's unaware as he's busy working on his show whilst a CIA agent pursues him covertly.
Eight Legged Freaks (July 17th) - Directed by Roland Emmerich. A toxic chemical spill outside a rural mining town in Arizona causes a group of spiders to mutate and grow into large truck size creatures, creatures which only a misfit group of town inhabitants can stop.
K-19: The Widowmaker (July 19th) - Based on the true story of the Soviet Union's first nuclear ballistic submarine which suffers a coolant failure in the North Atlantic in 1961. The crew hurried to prevent a nuclear explosion which could be seen as a first strike.
Stuart Little 2 (July 19th) - Sequel to the popular 1999 film adaptation. Details of the story are under wraps though this time it seems as though Stuart may have his first romance - thing is its with a bird (Melanie Griffith) which raises concern.
Austin Powers in Goldmember (July 26th) - After Dr. Evil & Mini-Me escape prison, they team up with the mysterious Goldmember for a time-traveling scheme involving kidnapping Austin's father Nigel. As Austin chases the villains, he visits 1975 for help from an old flame.
Full Frontal (August 2nd) - Directed by Steven Soderbergh. Linda would love to be loved. Carl loves his wife, Lee. Lee is looking to be loved by Calvin. Calvin discovers he's in love with Catherine. Catherine, who is really Francesca, finds true love. And Gus loves himself.
Signs (August 2nd) - Directed by M. Night Shyamalan ("The Sixth Sense"). Whilst theworld stands on the brink of war, an average farmer in Pennsylvania becomes a media sensation when strange 500-foot crop circles begin appearing in his fields.
Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams (August 7th) - The Cortez family's newest mission takes them to a mysterious island where they meet a wildly inventive genetic scientist while fighting the forces of rival SPY kids, the Giggle family.
Blood Work (August 9th) - Based on the novel by Michael Connelly & Directed by Clint Eastwood. A retired FBI man is asked to look into a murder case by the sister of the victim, the victim whose heart replaced the FBI man's malfunctioning one not long ago.
xXx (August 9th) - Former extreme sports athlete Xander 'XXX' Cage is recruited by the NSA to become a different kind of undercover agent. Enlisted for a dangerous covert mission, he must use all his extreme skills to combat a clever and ruthless enemy with dangerous plans.
Blue Crush (August 16th) - A young female surf fiend who lives on the beach with three roommates, counts the days until the Rip Masters surf competition. Moving to Hawaii, she finds all she needs until she meets a pro quarterback whom she falls for.
The Adventures of Pluto Nash (August 16th) - A comedy set in 2087, and about the owner of the hippest nightclub on the moon who finds himself and robot sidekick in trouble with the local gangster scene who've sent in a clone of the guy to take him out.
S1m0ne (August 23rd) - The story of a disillusioned producer who creates the first totally believable synthetic actress. However, swept up by her instant success, including a major singing career, the producer cannot bear to admit his fraud to the world or himself.
City by the Sea (September 6th) - True story based on an article. This drama is about the son of a convicted killer, now a respected detective, who must bring in his own son on suspicion of murder. Is he guilty, and if not will the detective ever be able to trust him again.
Swimfan (September 6th) - A lucky high school senior and swimming champ finds himself the object of affection from the new hot girl in town, and soon after his life begins to crumble. Investigating this new girl's background he uncovers her mysterious past.
Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever (September 20th) - Jonathan Ecks is an FBI agent hunting 'Sever', a rogue NSA agent. What they learn, however, while trying to kill each other is that they might be on the same side, and faced with a threat greater to each other than themselves.
The Four Feathers (September 20th) - Directed by Shekhar Kapur ("Elizabeth"). Set in the Sudan of 1898, a British officer resigns his post right before a battle and is branded a coward by his fiancee and friends. What they don't know is that he's going undercover for his army.
Trapped (September 20th) - Based on the Greg Iles novel. In Deep South USA, a successful physician and his beautiful wife are forced to personally take on their daughter's kidnappers within 24 hours as the abductors are unaware she's diabetic.
The Tuxedo (September 27th) - A truck driver takes an injured stranger into hospital. Heading to the guy's house to collect his thinggs, he comes across a tuxedo from which he learns that the many was a spy - and knows something people will kill for.
Red Dragon (October 4th) - Based on the first 'Hannibal' novel by Thomas Harris. FBI Agent Will Graham seeks out the advice of Dr. Hannibal Lecter, the man he helped capture, in order to apprehend a new serial killer known as 'The Tooth Fairy'.
Below (October 11th) - Directed by David Twohy ("Pitch Black"). A skipper of a submarine is sent to rescue three survivors from a British hospital ship sunk by Nazis. During a cat and mouse chase with a German destroyer, it becomes clear that the sub is haunted..
Knockaround Guys (October 11th) - Follows four sons of well-known Brooklyn-based mobsters and their desperate fight to retrieve a bag of cash in a small Montana town ruled by a corrupt sheriff. As they unite to find the money, they come face-to-face with their birthright.
The Rules of Attraction (October 11th) - Based on the novel by Bret Easton Ellis, and centers around Partrick Bateman's brother and his college friends bizarre mating rituals in a kaleidoscopic story about three students entangled in a surreal romantic triangle.
The Transporter (November 1st) - Dangerous complications ensue when a former U.S. Special Forces soldier-turned expatriate mercenary is hired to kidnap the feisty daughter of a lethal Chinese cook who's smuggling his fellow countrymen into France.
Abandon (October 18th) - Directed by Ed Zwick. During her first year in college, a young female student's boyfriend disappeared mysteriously. Now she starts having visions of he and another man who vanished, and seeks out help.
Formula 51 (October 18th) - An American chemist heads to England to set up his last big deal, the introduction of a new designer drug to Europe. He becomes stuck in Liverpool with an unlikely escort entangled in a web of double-dealing and double-crosses.
The Ring (October 18th) - Remake of the 1998 Japanese horror film. Follows the tale of a mysterious video tape that is killing everyone one week after watching it, and its up to a reporter to find out why and how it could be stopped before she becomes the next victim.
Ghost Ship (October 25th) - The crew of an Alaskan salvage tug come across a seemingly abandoned passenger liner 40 years after it vanished. As each one of the salvage crew start dying, the first officermust find and stop the malevolent presence on board.
Jackass: The Movie (October 25th) - Feature film based on the cult MTV show of the same name in which Johnny Knowville and a varity of young men try to outgross and outdo each other by perfrming a variety of dangerous and elaborate stunts which result in injuries to them.
The Truth About Charlie (October 25th) - Remake of the 1963 film "Charade". A young woman in Paris is about to divorce her husband learns he's dead and all their money has vanished. Its then she meets a mystery man who claims the money was actually his.
I Spy (November 1st) - Loose film adaptation of the classic TV series with Bill Cosby. A major basketball player is coerced into helping the CIA to retrieve a stolen $250 million dollar fighter jet prototype from an arms dealer who also owns basketball teams.
8 Mile (November 8th) - A young rapper in Detroit struggles with his anger against his mother and his life through music. Can a white kid with a blue vocabulary and lots of hate in his heart transcend his meager beginnings and attain success?
Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets (November 15th) - Based on the second book by JK Rowling. Warned not to return for a second semester at Hogwarts, Harry shows up and hears a mysterious voice tied to something in the school which is petrifying the students.
Die Another Day (007) (November 22nd) - Twentieth film in the James Bond saga. After being release from months of imprisonment in North Korea, James Bond finds himself reluctatly forced to go back to stop the leader's renegade military son from taking control.
The Quiet American (November 22nd) - In 1950's Saigon, a British journalist in love with a local girl finds his life in disarray after befriending a young American man whose not only after his love, but who may be precipitating events that will lead to the Vietnam war.
Rabbit Proof Fence (November 27th) - Based on the true story of three young Aboriginal girls who in 1931 were forcibly removed from their parents and placed in an institution. The trio escape and begin an astonishing 1,500 mile trek across the outback to find home.
Solaris (November 27th) - Directed by Steven Soderbergh. After the mysterious demise of one of three scientists on a space station above an ocean planet, the replacement arrives to find the other two cold and secretive, along with visions of his dead wife.
Treasure Planet (November 27th) - Disney animated sci-fi reworking of Robert Louis Stevenson's novel "Treasure Island". A young man charters a ship's crew in search of buried treasure of the late Captain Flint, unaware a crewman wants it for himself.
Wes Craven Presents: They (November 27th) - After witnessing a horrible incident, a graduate student struggles to find the link between her childhood fear of the dark and the night terrors she now suffers. Could the things that scared her years ago have actually been real.
Analyze That (December 6th) - Comedy sequel to the 1999 hit film "Analyze This". On the eve of his prison release, Paul Vitti learns his therapist Ben Sobel needs some serious help himself as he has inherited the family practice, as well as an excess stock of stress.
Star Trek: Nemesis (December 13th) - The Enterprise crew heads to the Romulan empire to stop the slave revolt by an off-shoot of Romulans who've evolved on the dark side of a planet, and whose leader holds a secret that will shake Picard to his core.
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (December 18th) - Second part in the "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy film adaptation. With the fellowship divided, only Frodo and Sam are left as the pair enter into the sinister land of Mordor with only the traitorous Gollum to guide them.
Gangs of New York (December 20th) - Based on a book by Herbert Asbury, this epic drama chronicles the criminal exploits of gang members, outlaws, crooked cops and corrupt politicians who flourished in New York City's underworld in the middle of the 19th century.
Catch Me If You Can (December 25th) - Frank Abagnale lived a life of crime from 1964 to 1966, using his amazing abilities of subterfuge to assume many altar egos before he eventually reformed and became a consultant for the FBI, the agency that pursued him.
Chicago: The Musical (December 27th) - Based on the Broadway musical. In 1920's Chicago, a chorus girl named Roxie shoots her lover and lands in jail. There she meets 'Velma', a woman in a similar predicament who has hired a lawyer to get media attention.
Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (December 27th) - Directed by George Clooney. This comedic bio-pic covers the life of Chuck Barris, by day the host of the successful TV game program - "The Gong Show". By night, an assassin for the CIA. |
