Baltasar Kormakur (“2 Guns,” “Contraband”) has come onboard to write and direct the crime thriller “On the Job” which has now been setup at Universal Pictures, RVK Studios and Bluegrass Films.
The story follows the real-life scandal where prison inmates were temporarily released to work as contract killers on behalf of politicians and high ranking military officials.
The film is partly inspired by Erik Matti’s 2013 Filipino film of the same name. In fact, Kormakur had been developing a project based on the true events before ‘Job’ began production.
Kormakur, Scott Stuber, Nate Bolotin, Nick Spicer and Aram Tertzakian will produce.
