PBS have announced the return of “Downton Abbey” and the much loved “Sherlock” to U.S. shores.
The highly anticipated third season of “Sherlock” will kick off three new 90-minute episodes starting January 19th in North America. The announcement comes despite The BBC having yet to announce U.K. air dates for the series.
There was a two month and a four month gap between U.K. and U.S. air dates with the previous two series, that gap will likely be much shorter this time around as late November is the absolute earliest that a U.K. broadcast could go out due to the episodes not being finished until early next month.
PBS will also screen the fourth season of “Downton Abbey” starting January 5th. In the U.K., the show is currently around midway through the eight episode run.
